RAAF Amberley contamination fears grow

It appears heavy metals including cadmium, mercury, chorium and nickel have been leaking from the antiquated sewage treatment plant at the RAAF Base at Amberley into Warrill Creek.

Warrill Creek flows directly into the Bremer River which joins the Brisbane River near the Moggill Ferry and then flows into Moreton Bay.

The RAAF must ensure their treatment plant is never again used for trade waste.

The health and safety of the people of southeast Queensland is paramount along with the protection of the environment - whatever it costs!
