|UBER - The illegal ride sharing app.|
The illegal share riding app UBER is riding high in Australia with little effective law enforcement.
If the eight state and territorial governments are fair dinkum in getting this menace off Australian roads, there is one simple solution.
All they have to do is change the laws to allow the seizure of any vehicle illegally being used as a UBER hire vehicle.
The vehicle would be towed away and impounded for a minimum of 7 days for a first offence, one month for a second offence and then forfeited for a third or subsequent offence.
This approach works with the impoundment of louts' vehicles under anti-hooning legislation across the nation.

legal controls, unlike licensed
UBET it would work against UBER law breakers.
There are no tough Australian legislative controls over UBER drivers and it is only a matter of time before a serious incident occurs in Australia which will see the various governments jump to attention quicker than they could say: "Let's get rid of UBER".
